Now where was I...*rummages through scattered thoughts and brief, disjointed memories*...ah, yes.
I have a recommendation for you. If you are ever so bored as to open up your own website, do yourself a favour and protect your mental health by NOT doing what I do at least four times every day. If you find yourself reaching for the button on your webhost's dashboard (for the record I hate the appropriation of that word, but if I didn't use it you might be confused) in order to check on the number of hits and/or visitors that day/week - DON'T. It's seriously habit-forming, and will lead inexorably to swelling of the swonnicles (hats off to The Goons) and fainting spells in railway station waiting rooms.
OK, so I may have got a little carried away at the end of that paragraph, but this is a real problem; checking online 'stats' is addictive. In my case, it's also accompanied by a very well-developed sense of disbelief, nurtured unwittingly by the webhost's own varied representations of the data, which do not correspond with one another...It's a good job that I have a large dog to aim a kick at, miss wildly, and land flat on my back gasping for air for several minutes while he looks at me ruefully. Otherwise I might become overwrought and start...um...writing...nonsense...oh dear............
